The Royal Chapel was the last building within the palace ,commissionned by the Sun King 1710 ) ,and where the future queen Marie-Antoinette married the furtur king Louis XVI !She was only 14 ! She will become Queen of France 4 years later,in 1774 .
The Royal Operahouse was commissionned by Louis XV in 1768 ,for the forthcoming marriage of the Dauphin and the Archduchess Marie-Antoinette ;It was inaugurated the very day of their marriage,on May.16th,1770 ! It was designed by the architect Gabriel,the main architect of the king Louis XV ;
It is entirely made of woob ( which provides excellent acoustics ),for economical reason (already,we are just 15 year before the Revolution ) the décor is painted in Faux marbre ,but still looks great !
